Create a fail-safe garage system
- Hang some peg board
- Put some tool hooks in the holes on the board
- Using a thick marker, draw an outline around each tool to reserve its location.
This laundry system can save you time and help you get your mind back. Start by giving each member of your family a laundry basket. To prevent missing things or confusion, write their names on the sides of the baskets. The trick is to have everyone come to the laundry room to pick up their own basket of clean clothes rather than leaving the clean laundry on the dining room table or the stairs (and watching people stroll by without picking up their clothes).
Work some kitchen magic
It makes sense to set up distinct stations for those operations since there are so many different activities taking place in the kitchen. Purchasing a rolling cart in whatever design and size suit your kitchen best is one method to achieve this. Create a special area for one of your most frequent activities using this cart. For instance, set up a station where people may prepare their own lunches, complete with a cutting board, knife, salt, pepper, paper towels, and non-perishable foods like bread, oranges, and apples. Make space for your family to help make your life easier while maintaining a station with similar products all in one place.
Put it in writing
Keep your important documents in a three-ring binder. To get started, gather your emergency contact information as well as other crucial details like the name of your veterinarian, school schedules, alarm codes, the dosages of your children's medications, the name of your father's carer, and the location of your home's gas shut-off valve. As you continue to organize your home and find more essential documents, you can add them to the binder. For those who prefer a digital approach, store your manual on a highly secure cloud service.

Tell a tidier toy story
Here is a solution that will transform your play storage problem from a source of aggravation to joy. Toys can be stored in colorful bins with each bin holding a certain kind of toys, such as Legos, musical instruments, dolls, cars, or games. Find images of the toys in magazines or online and use them to label the containers to make it simpler for kids to put things away. Attach the appropriate picture to the front of the bin if you have dolls or stuffed animals in one of the containers. The number of dumpsters should be kept to a minimum, but they should be big and accessible.
Clear the bedroom closet
- Clear the floor so you can move around easily.
- Make sure you have proper lighting.
- Pull everything out.
- Only put back in what fits you right now, is stain-free, and requires no repairs.
Set kids’ closets straight
If this is the case, consider giving each member of the household a personalized bathroom caddy that is filled with all of their personal cosmetics, toiletries, and grooming supplies. Carry the caddies to and from the bedroom or keep them on a shelf in the bathroom.
Simplify — and go easy on yourself
Most importantly, don’t get too hung up on the details. Your home doesn’t have to be perfectly organized every day. Sometimes “good enough” is just fine.
